About
A creative writer fueled by a lifelong love of words, multi- colored pens… and sarcasm.
Greetings friends! Jessica Garrant, Word Wizard, here! My love of words began at age 7 after reading "Harold and the Purple Crayon." I was convinced my own literary masterpiece, aptly titled "Jessica and the Crayons," would be snatched up immediately and send me into the clouds of children's book infamy before I was a teenager. I'm still waiting on those sweet royalty checks.
Since my imaginary chart-topping days, I've expanded beyond crayon-based novellas to craft all kinds of compelling stories across different platforms. Professionally, I've spent over 16 years in the glamorous world of Operations and Human Resources ((insert Toby Flenderson joke here)), where I have honed my skills in relationship-building, communication, and, my favorite, decoding corporate jargon into plain English.
These experiences are part of what has helped me connect with my clients to understand the goals of their writing projects. Whether it's injecting creativity into bland content, making passive sentences active, or capturing a specific brand voice, I meticulously polish prose like a kid with a 64-pack of crayons until it's vivid and engaging. As you can see, I never let go of my love for crayons.
When I'm not writing or working, you can find me hanging with my family, reading across genres (these days I listen to a lot of audiobooks), exploring open-world video games, or channeling my inner Picasso with digital drawing. I like to think that these hobbies stir up my imagination, allowing me to infuse projects with a touch of fun.
At my core, I love crafting stories and content that sticks in people's minds. I adapt easily to different styles and viewpoints, making me a versatile writer. Let's collaborate to take your message to the next level with a healthy dose of flair, if that’s your vibe, of course! I promise I'll leave my crayons out of it, but I make no promises about my multi-colored pens.
